Under Construction Athletic Club offers youth and adult athletic performance training, as well as Pre & Post Natal Corrective Exercise training. The UCAC provides an environment and network for all ages and levels of fitness. I chose the profession of physical therapy when I was in high school and received first hand experience with the rehabilitation process. In my junior year of high school I tore my anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) in my L-knee playing volleyball. I opted to postpone having ACL reconstruction surgery in order to play basketball my senior year, ultimately causing more cartilage damage then necessary. After undergoing surgery I participated in three months of physical therapy where I grew great admiration and respect for the rehabilitation process and profession. I loved the idea of healing the body, improving one’s mobility/quality of life, and building connects with people. I decided after my own personal physical therapy journey, that I wanted to become a physical therapist.
I attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University where I received my bachelor’s degree in health science and my doctorate degree in physical therapy. I have been a licensed practicing physical therapist for 4.5 years, working in the skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient geriatric settings where I treated a multitude of chronic conditions, acute injuries, and postoperative deficits.
I look forward to making a shift towards sports physical therapy with UCAC. I am eager to challenge myself and become more creative with the rehab process in the realm of sports therapy. UCAC has a great staff who are all dedicated to the process of healing and health. Your fitness, health, or rehab journey is not your own, but ours together, and we are excited for the opportunity to join you.

Rah’seem Jones-Salaam, CPT
I am the son of a retired high school principal who was a collegiate volleyball player, as well as the son of a retired sports coach and educator who was a collegiate football player. I was born and raised in the classroom and sports. This helped me appreciate my health and to seek out ways to continue to improve mentally and physically. Health and wellness has been a foundation of my life from an early age.
After graduating college where I played collegiate football for 5 years, I knew I still had the desire to learn and teach. Combining that desire with the passion of playing sports and competing in various physical activities, becoming a personal trainer presented an opportunity for me to develop and learn in the field of Health and Fitness, but also to encourage others in their personal fitness journey.
In 2013, I received my Personal Training Certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM). Since receiving my certification I have become a TRX Suspension Trainer, Sports Performance Specialist and a Pre & Post Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist through Fit for Birth. In 2015, I joined the personal training team with Pro Results at the LA Fitness Signature Club in Dallas Texas. This position has allowed me to work, train, and learn with other great trainers, as well as continue to help others reach their full potential.
I was always taught to take care of my mind and body in order to perform at my best. In my journey to a healthy and enjoyable, early retirement, I am looking to assist individuals to achieve and maintain their personal health and fitness goals
